The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain]
which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 261

What is the difference between wakaf & infaq ?
Rewards and Blessings:
Contributing to the construction of a mosque is a form of sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) that continues to earn rewards even after one's passing.
It's mentioned in various Hadiths (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) that those who build mosques will have their sins forgiven and will be granted a lofty station in Paradise.
